Bre and the crazy lady

Catch up

Friday:
Bre and I went and helped out at the Fair on Friday it was a lot of fun and extremely busy. We had a line 10 min after the fair opened and it did not stop until ten minutes after Bre and I were off. There was a crazy lady and a choleric lady who were both kind of driving me crazy lol. We then looked around the fair we could not find the normal booths but we decided to go into the museum and lo and behold that was where all the booths were. Now don't ask me why they called it a museum there was nothing museumee about it. We had a good time looking at all the different stuff and we splurged and bought Ice Cream it was very good. We then rented Cinderfella (Jerry Lewis) and Mulan 2 and watched them. Holly was on this side of town so she stopped by and we talked for a little bit.

Saturday:
We went to Amy's baby shower and had an enjoyable time. The food was very good and Aunt S sent a BUNCH of it home with us. We then went to Office Max because they were having a really big sale and purchased stuff for school i.e. paper, pens, folders...we got it all for under $6. We then went home and took naps. G-ma called and invited us over to there house since they were not going to be able to hang out with us on Sunday. Bre was working but I went over and we put the pictures that I took of Amy's shower on her computer and then we played Scatergories it was fun. We ended the night with a movie and I went home and crashed.

Sunday:
We went to church and then afterwards we came straight home. Bre decided to plan her wedding so she played dress up using Arielle and I as her dolls I'm not quite sure what I think about being used as a virtual barbie. But the dresses that she choose are very nice. I took a nap and then got up and did laundry. Bre went to work and then I headed to work. I am listening to the Hobbit at work now. Oh the memorise.

Today:
I went and helped tear down the churches booth at the fair. I was the only girl and as always I had to overcome the stereo type of small ladies helping with heavy lifting jobs. I really enjoyed myself and no one broke any bones so it is all good. I then came home Bre and I ate lunch and are going to head to the Library as soon as her laundry is done. We both work tonight.

Weird Lane county happenings

Okay so this is completely unbelievable. So I was driving home and noticed a truck with a bunch of bright yellow triangle objects in the back and a person hiding in the middle of them trying to sneakily throw the objects off the truck. But the person was not doing a good job because the objects kept landing in the road and was messing up the flow of traffic. Well I continued on past these people and was contemplating what this could all mean when I noticed something!!! It looked as if I could get over into the left lane to turn onto Bailey from 11th sooner than normal and then it hit me the MEDIAN had been STOLEN. I know I could not believe it at first myself but to conform my fears a truck drove right over the top of where the median should have been. I being the concerned citizen that I am looked closer and it looked as if the police already new because you could see the outline of the median already traced out. I was in shock what could this all mean? Why would someone steal a large road median? And why was the guy hiding in the middle of all the medians? Well I continued my life so as not to attract attention the whole time contemplating these matters. But then I woke up in the middle of the night and I new the awful truth the guy in the truck with the triangle objects was just a diversion. The median had been stolen because someone wanted to show us that they could and then the plot thickened the signs that said are tax money was going towards this. Meant that it was a inside job and we would never see are friend the median again due to diplomatic immunity we could not convict the government and get the median back.

Now I told a not so elaborate version of this to a friend on campus here. The conversation went something like this "hey did you notice that someone stole the median on 11th." Her response "I did notice it was gone but I don't think anyone would steal it what would they do with it?" I lead her on for a couple of more seconds and then decided that it was to cruel and told her the truth. They removed the median because of the road construction they are about to start. It was not stolen I was just being dramatic. Some peoples kids you have to spell everything out for them.

Yesterday

So yesterday I actually had something to do and I was busy most the day!!! It was amazing. I went and donated Plasma in the morning. While there I heard that the weather was suppose to get up to 105 degrees. Now this stuck me as not good for a couple of reasons A) we do not have AC B) I was going to be outside in the sun most of the day. As you probably know the process of donating Plasma takes a lot of water out of your body. But the show most go on, so after finishing I went home and drank a LOT of water. I then killed about an hour and headed out. Now you might wonder where I could have been heading with such urgency on such a HOT day. Well I had volunteered to help the church out with there food booth at the fair. I arrived at the fair without getting lost and after figuring out where to park. Well figuring out the parking was a little bit weird because there where multiple parking lots that said welcome to the fair and then once you went to pull in they would say "Gotcha, you can't park here sucker." But after the third such attempt I saw the cowboys and they told me where to park. I'm not joking they had mounted security people on very pretty horses directing the parking. After walking around the fair staring at ever food booth and there personnel trying to recognize something or someone and talking to multiple people and making a phone call I located the booth. And it was the first one that I saw that I thought might be it. In other words I walked around it multiple times before noticing there aprons that said Calvary. But the reason I did not initially see there aprons was I was trying to not look like a stupid blonde staring at everyone bellies. I had a good time helping out no I did not get any ones names but I can tell you a random facts about them. I worked "the line" which means I put the food together in case you don't know. It was extremely hot and I consumed 2 bottles of water and 2 medium size cups of Sprite. I then went home and took a quick COOL shower and drank a bunch MORE water and went to work. I finished work and came home where I found a very good dinner that Bre had prepared. Now in light of the fact that mom can talk about such things I think it will be okay to comment that even with all that consumption of liquids I did not have to use the restroom I was sweating it all off. I did not take pictures but Bre and I are volunteering again tomorrow.

Pictures

Bre and I filmed are videos for new students and then Bre took some pictures and here are a few of them.

Sunday

Today Bre and I went to church it was a very nice service we started Joshua today and the sermon was about not living in fear. Bre and I signed up to help at the Lane County fair at the church booth on Friday and then when we finish we can go look around the fair for free woohoo.
After Church Bre and I went to Gateway to kill some time. G-ma and G-pa had to go out with the church board and have lunch with some potential youth pastors. While there we stopped at Target to get Amy's baby gift for her shower and seeing how we were hungry we picked up some cheap food at Target. As we were eating someone tried to leave Target and go into the rest of the mall when behold it was like she ran into a brick wall. The poor soul backed up and tried again with the same results. So she abandoned the cart and just left. So their signs...

are telling the truth and we did not have to go and try stealing one to find out lol. Later someone was able to use the cart it was a little rough at first but the wheels unlocked after about 20 feet.

Sunday

This Sunday they combined serves and had a 2 hour service instead. It was kind of odd. We had a 1/2 hour of worship and then a 1/2 hour or so of fellowship. Then we went back into the sanctuary and had Communion and a sermon...

After church there was a picnic out at some lake. Bre and I went home and grabbed are bikes and a few other items and then headed out there. It took us a while to find it since we were looking for a beach that was named after the lake. How were we to know that the name of the place was Bay Beach everyone kept saying we were going to Medano Lake. Anyway after turning around for the second time we came around a turn and there was a car in are lane coming towards us. I slammed on my breaks and the other car finished it's stupid maneuver of passing three cars on windy roads. Needless to say Bre and I just had to praise the Lord for His protection. It scared the ba gee ber out of us.

We then ate with G-ma and G-pa and rode are bikes and talked a little bit to different people. We came home I used the rest of the I-tones gift card Jamin gave me at Christmas and put the Dragon and the Raven by G A Henty on my I-pod and I went to work.

After work I grabbed Faith like Potatoes from the Red Box at Wal Mart and some Ice Cream and then went home and we watched the movie which was actually really good. It is a Christian movie and I was really shocked to find it in the Redbox when most of the movies were really bad.

Bre and I had Ice Cream after the movie and then we both automatically put water in are cups and left them in the sink. Now we never leave dishes in are sink but this just seemed like the thing to do. Habits die hard LOL.

I also spoke to the gas attendant people as they tried to fill up my car and they told me that Rhode Island used to have gas attendants to but they have now switched. This explained a lot to me since I used to speak to people from RI about the gas reward program and I never could understand why they were always so confused about how to swipe there reward card and pump there gas.

Saturday

Bre and I after being wakened by are crazy wood cutting neighbors went and dropped off the Honda to get worked on and then went home. After going and picking up the Honda we headed over to Amy's and Tony's to hang out and have dinner. We had a good time hanging out and there dog is very big. It looks a lot like Bee only three times larger in all ways...

After we finish there we went to the U of O campus and looked around there was a really cool OLD cemetery that we enjoyed but then are bladders started to act up and we raced home...After taking care of our crisis we walked around the EBC campus. We sat up at the cross and talked it became quite dark while we were there. When we came down there were some people hanging out right below goofing off they did not know we were up there and they were embarrassed it was really funny.

Bre and I watched a couple of really old movies yesterday and the first one the sound was messed up really bad like in dancing in the rain...

When we made it back to EBC to take care of our bladder issue we found out that are wood cutting friends were preparing for a outdoor concert and so we have listened to them all night.

We have had a good week not really eventful. We are going to hang out with G-ma and G-pa tomorrow.

AAARRRGGGG

Who cuts trees down at 7 in the morning on a SATURDAY right by a bunch of apartments...
Bre and I had pizza last night but some one forgot to take the cardboard off and so this is how the pizza turned out

P.S. they were having sometype of outdoor concert this evening that is why they where cutting trees or whatever they were doing

Are you socially developed?

SOME OF THIS YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO LET ARIELLE ON DOWN READ

I have been giving some different conversation and behaviors that I have watched some thought lately and decided to share a bit of my thoughts.

A few years back I was speaking to a principal at a High school as we were preparing for a Backdraft assembly. He started asking everyone what high school they had graduated from and when he came to me and I told him that I had been home schooled he looked at me and with all earnestness asked "are you socially developed?" I after quickly getting over the shock at being asked that question told him that yes I was socially developed. The rest of the crew also told him that I was socially developed and we went on with life. Later when we came back for the assembly I was dressed as an Emo and he asked P. Josh what was wrong with me (he did not recognize me).

A few other conversations I have had went along the lines of "O you were home schooled, that's okay I can corrupt you." I have also been mistaken for being a lesbian on two different occasions that I know of. The first being with a representative from Big Brothers Big Sisters I did not know what she meant by the terms she was using having no need to know them before. In the end with that one I just blurted out "I like guys" as I also turned many shades of red. And later at West when I would give a friend some chocolate that I new she liked and of which JoAnn and I had a ton but neither of us liked. Well everyone on that shift the 12 - 8:30 shift decided that I was a lesbian. I never was able to completely put an end to that rumor with those people.

People also have shown a keen disbelief in the fact that I have chosen NOT to drink alcohol. I had to constantly watch my drinks around some people as they were always plotting what to give me...There was also other than legal types of smokes being offered.

I have also been invited to go to many bars and strip joints and been told by young ladies whose "boy toys" (the way she referred to her boyfriend that she lived with) would go to them that she had went and there was nothing really wrong (she then went into more detail). This would frustrate me on many levels first the couple in question were both under age which made it legally wrong. Second since when did it become okay to go...well I'm not going to go into it.

I have also watched multiple people who could not find there worth if they did not have a guy. I watched as they would jump from man to man trying to find meaning and yet if I said anything I was being judgemental and mean.

So as I have been thinking back over all of this and the question "are you socially developed?" I can't but wonder if the correct answer is NO. In a society where drugs, alcohol, and sex defines who a person is I am not socially developed (praise the LORD) and I never plan on being socially developed. What I am trying to say is, when did our society become so corrupted and why is it so widely accepted. How is it that people raised in godly homes can bow down to this type of living and think that it is perfectly acceptable. What has happened to our nation founded on Godly principals? Since when does kindness mean "other" things? And why in a society that can except Satan worship and so many things that are contrary to mans very nature. Is it unacceptable to try and answer the pain with the Lord.

Society seems so determined to corrupt innocence so that there behavior is not seen for what it is.

One of the things that I was thinking is that people stopped caring. In the midst of everything else that was going on lets just say with WW2 and such that who cares if a few kids get into drugs... Or maybe it has to do with Hollywood's rise to fame the more important they become the more moralities decline. We have now received political freedom for women, African Americans and Native Americans but at the same time taken away Christians freedom. What will it take to stop the decay and turn America back around?

I have more thoughts but I have to go to work so I wanted to end with this verse.
2 Chronicles 7:14"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

Catch-up

SO Mr. B is truly amazing. He has my computer not only connecting to the Internet but it is running much quicker as well...

Bre and I went to Spokane over the weekend which was fun and also very helpful. I now have all my money and belongings in not only the same state but the same city WOOT.

I was really encouraged on Sunday at work when I was speaking to a lady that had stayed work to finish up and she commented that as soon as she saw me she thought I was a christian. This was encouraging because you hear people say I can tell by looking at "blank" that they are saved but I always wondered if anyone could tell by looking at me. It was also nice because she is a christian. Which means that most the people I am running into at this job are Christians. Which is a huge change from West where Curtis and I were the only two.

I received another VIM (very important message) traditionally these are usually complaints, but I have received quite the stack of them. The one I just received said in all caps that there was no complaints which Bob said was really good for the janitor business.

Esther a friend from Masters just asked Bre and I to be her babies God parents... we are praying about this great honor.

Donna the secretary is getting laid off be praying for her and her husband... Bre and I had her over for lunch today and it was really good.

Dad - I replaced the battery and changed the oil so in case you were still worried don't be.

Jared - Your haircut sounds pretty amazing when you were ten was it the same place that butchered my hair?

I miss and love you all very much and I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying Japan.
