Teams

Over the course of the last three months we have had the pleasure of seeing different teams come and serve here at the orphanage. Two of the teams we have seen twice now. Each one of these teams has had something different that they brought and a unique way of ministering. I'm going to cover the teams in the order that they have come.

The Montana Team: This team is like a group of worker bees. They come in and attack different projects with a vengeance and accomplish much amazing work. This group also has established some fun traditions with the orphanage ie pizza and marshmellow wars. (They come about four times a year)

The Phoenix Team: This group is from a Christian school in Phoenix and they bring lots of teenagers. This group does a fabulous job of loving. They come in and love on everyone and the place turns into a huge party for the entire time they are here. All the neighborhood children race to our place to get to play and hang out with the American teenagers. They also do all the cooking while they are here. (They come about six times a year.)

The Bend Team: This group only came for one day, but they were a joy to have. This group came prepared with worship songs in Spanish and skits for the adults and children. Everyone in this group did a great job at jumping in and helping with either the adults or the children.

The South Dakota Team: This group also only came for one day. They came prepared with different activities for the children and ladies and also helped fix a few things around the orphanage.

Each of these teams has it's own unique way of ministering and has been a huge blessing in it's own rights.

Seeing all the different teams and their various styles of worship/service is good prep for the chaplaincy corp. I'm glad you've had this time in Mexico between work and Air Force/move....
